POETA DE SUSAETA

In recent years, the P.R.E. horse has made significant progress. Since 2018, there has been considerable debate regarding the prioritization of PRE and CDE horses for the World Championship of Young Horses. However, horses like Poeta de Susaeta, Romero de Trujillo, and Mejorano HGF have proven that young horses can achieve great success and compete at the highest level against Central European horses.

Poeta de Susaeta, a well-known horse in the P.R.E. dressage circuit, belongs to an illustrious Spanish bloodline (ERMITAÑO III). He started his competitive career in 2016, achieving numerous victories and becoming the ANCCE Cup Champion at four years old. His success continued as he represented Spain in the World Championship for Young Horses in Ermelo, where he won a silver medal at five years old, surpassing several prestigious breeds. By 2018, at six years old, he continued to win and compete internationally.

From 2018 to 2020, Poeta trained for the San Jorge level, making his debut in September. He secured the second position in SICAB. In 2021, he maintained an international score above 71%, winning his first national title at the Critérium level and achieving two fifth-place finishes at CHIO Aachen.

In 2023, Poeta began competing at the Grand Prix level, consistently scoring in the 70s. At 11 years old, his legacy includes 308 registered offspring, with his sons competing at various levels.

Other notable horses include Rondo de Indalo and Domingo de Centurión. Rondo, known for his elasticity and strong hindquarters, dominated the four-year-old tests and won the young horse cycle final. Domingo, with impressive movement and conformation, debuted with high scores and showed significant improvement during competitions. Both horses have inherited excellent traits from their sire and are expected to excel in future competitions.
